BOOK REVIEW: THE HUNDRED YEAR OLD MAN WHO CLIMBED OUT OF THE WINDOW AND DISAPPEARED...

The novel 'The Hundred year old man who climbed out of  the window and disappeared" by Jonas Jonasson is about the life of the hundred year old man Allan Karlsson.

Allan Karlsson sitting quietly in his room in old people's home, waiting for the party he does not want to begin. Yes.., his one-hundredth birthday party which he is not interested to attend and so here he decides to escape..

Escaping (in his slippers) through his bedroom window, into the flower bed, Allan makes his gateway.. and here he embarks on a hilarious, adventurous and entirely unexpected journey..

Image result for hundred year old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared

His escaping journey begins with stealing of a suitcase (a suit case full of cash)  followed by members of gang who are determined to retrieve the fortune from suitcase and along his way Allan befriends some people and together they attempt to deceive police who are searching for Allan.

Meanwhile during these numerous escapades the story shifts back and forward in time. The chapters of his past are about some momentous events of twentieth century where it gets little tedious.

Though the story is fictitious and also because of it, it's difficult to feel connected to the protagonist of the novel, but it's surely entertaining, full of adventure, quirky and unique..

Take away from book..😂

'YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR AN ADVENTURE!..'
